This guide helps Employees get started with Planbase.
Employees are users who are scheduled in Planbase and do not have admin permissions. They use Planbase to view their schedule, claim open shifts, submit time off, submit availability, and request schedule changes.
You can access Planbase via the Employee Portal (web) or the Planbase Slack app.
Access the Employee Portal (web)
Go to app.joinplanbase.com, enter your work email, and click Continue.
If your organization uses SSO (for example Okta or another company login), youâll be sent to your company sign-in page. Use that login, not a Planbase password or magic link.
If your organization does not use SSO, set a password from your invite email, then sign in with email and password.
If SSO says you canât sign in, or you donât have access, contact your organizationâs IT or administrator. Planbase password reset wonât help when SSO is required.
After youâre in, open the Employee Portal from the calendar icon in the left sidebar, or go to app.joinplanbase.com/providerapp.
For a full walkthrough of the portal dashboard, see Using the Employee Portal.
Access the Slack app
Through Slack you can manage leave, view your schedule, claim open shifts, track time, and more. Your administrator must connect Planbase to your company Slack workspace first.
Slack features only work after Planbase is linked to your company Slack account.
Connect Google Calendar
Connecting Google Calendar syncs Planbase shifts and time off to your calendar. You can connect from the Planbase Slack app with connect calendar, or from your profile in the Employee Portal.
