The basics
If your company pays you through Planbase, your pay is sent to Dots using the cell number on your Planbase profile. You claim the money and send it to your bank from Dots, not from inside Planbase.
In Planbase, start on the Employee Portal. You can clock in, see upcoming shifts, and open your timesheet and profile from here.
Log into Dots at my.dots.dev with that same phone number. If you are asked to Select an account, pick Planbase.
You do not need a Planbase login to withdraw pay. If you no longer have access to Planbase, you can still use Dots with the phone number on your account.
Before you get paid
Make sure your Planbase profile has a mobile number that can receive texts. Payments are delivered by SMS to that number.
Use a number you have access to every pay period
Include the country code (for example +1 for the US)
Open Your Account Details from the Employee Portal to add or check your cell.
If your number is missing or invalid, payroll cannot send the payment.
You can also check hours and earnings for the pay period in Timesheets before payroll runs.
When you get paid
Your company runs payroll in Planbase.
You get a text from Dots with a payout link.
Open the link and enter the verification code sent to your phone.
In Dots, check your wallet balance, then withdraw to a bank account or another method Dots offers.
If you do not have the text, log into Dots with the same cell number.
Dots' own walkthrough for claiming a payout link (phone verification, 1099 if needed, then picking a method) is here: How to Claim a Payout Link.
Pay often lands in your Dots wallet first. Planbase showing the payment as paid means the money was sent to Dots. If you have not withdrawn it yet, it will still show as Balance in Dots.
See your balance
On Dots Home:
Balance is money sitting in your Dots wallet, waiting to be withdrawn
Payouts is what you have already sent out this week
Recent Activity lists credits (pay in from Planbase) and payouts (money sent to your bank or another method)
Withdraw your pay
Click Withdraw in the top nav.
Check Withdrawable balance
Enter the amount (there is a small minimum, currently $0.50)
Pick a payout method. Each one shows how long it usually takes
Follow the prompts and confirm
The method marked DEFAULT is the one Dots will highlight first. US bank can be instant, or 1-2 business days if it goes by ACH. PayPal and Venmo are often a few minutes.
If every method is grayed out, your wallet is empty or below the minimum. The money is not missing. It has not arrived in Dots yet, or you already withdrew it.
For how long each method usually takes, and what Completed / Pending / Failed means, see Dots: Where is my money?
Payout methods
To add or change where money goes, open Settings, then Manage Payout Methods.
Dots has a step-by-step article for each method:
Paying out to your US bank account (Plaid). If Plaid fails, add your bank information manually
Set one method as default so you do not have to pick it every time. Dots may also let you turn on automatic payouts to that method.
Double-check PayPal or Venmo details. Those payouts usually cannot be reversed if the email or handle is wrong.
Payout history
Transfers is the full history of credits and payouts. Use it if you want to see an older payment, filter by status, or export.
If you did not receive your pay
Check your texts (and spam / blocked messages) for a Dots payout link.
Log into my.dots.dev with the phone number on your Planbase profile. Pick Planbase if you see more than one account.
Check Balance on Home. If the amount is there, withdraw it.
Check Transfers. A payout with status Completed means Dots already sent it. Look for a deposit from "Divisible, Inc." on your bank or PayPal.
If a payout Failed, the money returns to your Dots wallet. Withdraw it again after you fix the payout method.
If you cannot get a verification code, wait a few minutes and tap resend once. Codes expire after 10 minutes.
If you still cannot get in, ask your manager. They can confirm the payment was sent and that the phone number on file is correct.

Changing your phone number
Dots uses your phone number as your account. Updating the number in Planbase does not update Dots.
You cannot change the Dots number yourself
Ask your manager. They will request the change from Planbase
Planbase then updates the number on your Dots user
If you only change the number in Planbase, the next payment is sent to the new number as a new Dots account. Any money already in the old Dots wallet stays on the old number.
When you ask for a change, include your name, your old number, and the new number. If you are locked out of Dots, start with Recover your phone number or verification code.
