Add Planbase to a Slack channel

How to add the Planbase Slack app to a channel so alerts and reports can post there.

Written by Joe Shearman

The basics

Planbase can post alerts, digests, and reports into Slack using your Planbase data (for example time-off requests or scheduled digests).

To turn this on you need:

  • Your Slack workspace connected to Planbase (must be done by a Slack admin). See Connecting Planbase and Slack.

  • A subscription set up in Planbase (what to send, when, and to which channel)

  • The Planbase Slack app added to that channel

If you need a new subscription, contact your Planbase team. This article covers adding Planbase to the channel.

Add Planbase to a channel

  • Open the Slack channel where you want posts to appear.

  • In the channel header, click the members icon (person icon with the member count).

  • Open the Agents & apps tab, then click Add agents and apps.

  • Search for Planbase, then click Add next to Planbase (Healthcare scheduling platform).

That’s it. Once the subscription is configured, Planbase can post into that channel.
